It was my turn to choose a theme, so I randomly threw out the idea of UNDER. Not only did I have zero idea what I would choose to shoot, I had to email Berta 2 days later and ask her what exactly was the theme I had chosen. I only wish I was kidding. tee hee.....I am such a scatter brain.
Once I had the theme written down and taped to my computer monitor, I continued to have NO idea what to shoot. Then, on Monday, while watching my little Sugar Bear during her Swimming lesson....when suddenly, something AMAZING happened. Sugar Bear went willingly UNDER water! This is BIG for her. I mean HUGE for her. She has been not very cooperative about the face in the water for several years now. Two previous summer sessions of lessons had made zero impact on this issue. Suddenly, this week...she is doing it....of her own accord! I am thrilled for her. I was so excited to grab this shot of her UNDER the water.
Berta's shot is so very intriguing. I love that the fast shutter speed captured the water as if it were solid. Morgie is standing UNDER a water bucket at the local water park. How fun is that? We don't have one of these around here. I love that we both ended up with water shots this week. I mean...the possibilities are truly endless, and yet....we chose the same thing. How funny! Thanks for being such a great partner, Berta! ♥
There are so many wonderful folks participating in this little game. Please link up so people can see your team's Diptych this week! :)

VERY cool pictures!!!
I'm still amazed that we used such a similar theme (***Twilight Zone theme song now playing***)! Another FUN week - trying to come up with our next adventure-word for next week. Thanks for another FUN week, partner. So happy that Sugar tackled this new challenge - congrats from GmaBerta!!!!!
WOW! I not only love both of the photos but I absolutely love them together. :) How fun that you both had water themes this week. Oh and YAY Sugar! Bug was the same way with swimming, he just got stuck year after year re-learning the same stuff in swimming class. Last year he made a huge break through and was swimming like a fish! Kiddos.. they have their own time table for learning. :)
Fantastic shots....isn't it just the most EXCITING thing when your little one finally takes the plunge, quite literally, fab that you had your camera at just the right moment - although I am not really surprised, am sure you have it with you always :0)

OMG Corey - you both are so special with your photos - I am really blown away - its always such a fun to stop by and have a look.... Sometimes I have no words for your photos.....
Just sit in front of my computer - look at those stunning photos and ....enjoy.
GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!
Both such great pictures!
OH, she is gonna be off now! That's such a huge step to conquer. Good for her. And great job capturing it, perfectly for the theme too. Nice dip, team.
That is so stinking cool! I'm impressed with Sugar Bear, and you can tell her I said so. :)
How awesome is that. I can imagine that you are so proud of her. It really is such an accomplishment.
how lucky that you caught her going under! it's so fun when you can see them progress in swimming -- what a treat! funny that your pair could easily fall under our water theme too!
I am grinning from ear to ear for you AND Sugar Bear. Nadia has recently overcome her fear of the water too and is swimming like a fishy now, so I totally understand the excitement! YAY!
The picture of SB is not only fabulous--it's also inspiring. Vincenzo looks like a cat in the water and absolutely freaks out about putting his head under the water. But someday I'll have a shot like yours! (Only much, much less cool.)
