This photo was taken a year ago, while on a trip with my Hubby and Sugar Bear. We were visiting friends who live quite a bit east of us. In the eleven years of them living there, I had never been over to see their home. I wrote 3 blog posts about that trip, and they along with all the photos can be found here, here and here. :)
This photo, however, happens to be my favorite landscape shot I have ever taken. I snapped this photo while sitting in our truck long the gravel road that leads to their house. I lined it all up so that in the windshield one could see their house, and in the rear view mirror you can see the view FROM their house. I love that in this ONE SHOT, I captured a very accurate portrayal of what it is like to be at their house. It is nearly a 360 degree photo. I LOVE IT! I mailed them a copy of it, and they have it framed in their house.

Nearly a month ago, I received a very interesting e-mail from Lotus, of Sarcastic Mom, asking me to be a part of the e-magazine, Blissfully Domestic. She is the Editor of the photography channel aptly named, Photo Bliss. You might have noticed the pretty little button in my right sidebar. I am incredibly honored to be a contributing Author/photographer. What a great opportunity, that I simply could not pass up.
Blissfully Domestic re-launched the first week or September, and has been experiencing some growing pains, but most are under control. It is a process....a learning process.
I am excited to announce that my first article posted there today. Now, if you have been around here awhile, you will recognize the piece, as I simply re-worked an old tutorial I did. Yeah...I'm lazy like that. tee hee.... Rest assured, I do have some original stuff coming up soon though.
