52 Weeks of ME- Week Six

Theme for the week:

"At Arm's Length"

Most of the shots I have taken have been captured with my camera at arm's length, so I wanted to try something different this week. To get this shot, I laid down, and I held the camera up over my head. I wanted a different angle, and I think I was successful. I'm not sure I've ever seen a shot of myself like this.

This photo sort of accurately depicts how I've been feeling lately. Sometimes it feels like I'm all turned upside down. Usually, I'm a fairly productive person, but lately.....I've been really good at wasting time. I have a list about a mile long of things I really should be getting done, but I have spent the better part of a week in my pajamas, snuggling my Sugar, and reading. There are soooooo many things I could have gotten done while I've been home, but instead....the days just flitted by, and I have nothing to show for it. While I'm not at all depressed.....I am not at all motivated to get things done. It is sort of like I'm in hibernation mode. I'm happily pretending to not have responsibilities. :) I'll likely regret it later, but for now.....I'd rather read more of my book than mop the floors. But the Christmas thank you notes......those really ought to be done by now, don't you think......oops!

Be sure to head on over to visit Jessie and Cara to see all the fabulous ladies taking part in this cool project.

That is a great perspective! Fun to try something new. None of what needs done...including the thank-yous...is worth stopping the snuggling. Wish I could get myself to do the same!

I also had so much planned for the week hubby was away and also only got to half of it...frustrating, its the weather I keep saying, sunshine gets me motivated.

Love it, love it, love it! Holy Cow does Sugar Bear look just like you! Beautiful perspective and color.

Oh I like how you "twisted" the theme and flipped the camera over your head. Very cool and non-traditional arms length selfie. You should enter it at this week's Selfie Saturdays

Great thinking on how to get a shot at arms length. Your pretty blue eyes steal the show every time!

I agree, your blue eyes steal the shot! I understand the motivation part... I think it's the winter. I'm determined to be more motivated when Spring arrives. :)

I think there must be some biological basis for human hibernation. If I could find myself a cave, I'd surely crawl inside it!

hehe! I've been feeling up-side-down quite a bit lately too - and great at spending time on things other than my to-do list!

I may have to try something similar to this sometime! Almost makes me dizzy thinking about it! :) You still got a pretty smile even though it's upside down!

such a unique and fresh perspective! I love how you turn things on their heads and think outside the box. :o)
But Corey, snuggling with Sugar and reading?! I think you DO have your priorities right. You won't remember a clean kitchen floor years from now, but you will remember time with your girl. And yes, I'm preaching to myself here.

Awesome perspective. I love how your shirt brings out the blue in your eyes too.

Uhm ... Christmas thank you notes ... eek! I haven't even finished sending out Christmas/New Year's cards! I've never even thought of taking a picture of me upside down. Huh?! Will have to try it some time. Love your eyes ... broken record, I know ... but they are lovely.

Corey you are beautiful.

(I have a question, how do I make my images larger on blogger through flickr? If you get the chance to explain; talk me through it as though you were talking to a small child because that's my mentality when it comes to computers.)

I love how not only did you take it at arms length but at a different angle. You eye coulnd't look bluer!
