52 Weeks of ME- Week Forty

Theme:

Favorite Color

For as long as I can remember, Blue has been my favorite color. I love all shades of blue, and I've pasted this on to my Sugar Bear as well. It is our bond. Our eye color....the thing we have the same. I love it right down to my tippy toes, and bad up to my unruly hair.

Week 53

Helllllllooooooo...hello....hello....hello.....

Man, there is a NASTY echo in this here blog. Girlfriend knows she is oh so very boring these days. Bore to the triple RING! I've gotcha, but I'm keeping up with my 365 project. I can't believe I've done it now for two whole years. You have NO IDEA how many photo are on my hard drive. NO IDEA....it isn't pretty. But seriously.....I love that I can see a true representation of my life in photos for the past two years.
It really is a trip.

I'm definitely continuing on through the end of the year, so here is another week in the life of Corey Bo BOREY! yawn....

September 26th was a Monday. At this point most Monday's starting looking so much the like the rest. work....school...home. same ol' same ol'....sigh. Sugar Bear was excited to wear her "new to her" boots to school. It was a pretty fall day. It was a bit rainy in the AM, but the sun peeked out later in the day. I love catching the sun flare in this shot. I must have been in the mood to treasure the sun this week, because there is a sun flare in several photos.

September 27th was a long Tuesday (like they all are these days), but it ended so very well with time for strawberries, whipped cream, and pancakes. My girls FAVORITE meal. It was a real treat to be able to surprise her with this for dinner. Gosh I love this crazy kid! ♥

September 28th ended at a meeting for Sugar Bear's new school. It was a bit different for me....at a strange location, but I made the best of it....and Sugar had a bit of fun relaxing on a park bench. I love all her colorful clothing. She gives me joy just to look at her. That is a good...good thing!

September 29th was another long day, but it started with some amazing sun. I soooooo wanted to stop and nab a shot of the gorgeous light, but we couldn't be late for the bus, so I just snapped a shot of the flare in my truck. I wanted to remember the feeling of this golden light. Soon it will be DARK when we drive to school. ick.

September 30th really felt like Fall. I am a fan of the idea of Fall. I even enjoy so many of the wonder aspects, like the falling leaves....the crisp mornings....the golden light. But all too often...it all comes with RAIN. I'm so not ready....so not ready, BUT we need rain. My well water is getting so low and stinky. The sulphur is usually not detectable when you drink it....but eww....it is getting icky. NO THANKS. I think I'd rather have rain.

Sept3011_0010ew

October 1st brought the rain....the "lots of rain" sort of rain. We attended a birthday party for one of Sugar Bear's friend. They had a "jump 4 fun" obstacle course. The kids weren't turned off by the rain one bit. Within minutes they were soaking (and I do mean soaking) wet. They played like that for an hour as the parents huddled underneath umbrellas, and a small amount of shelter. It was so fun to watch the kids. Looking back on the photos now....I wish I had joined in. Next time....next time. Remind me, okay.

October 2nd was a quiet day at home, like most Sundays. It wouldn't be fall, if we didn't have a TON of spiders hanging around our house. I'm not a huge fan, in general, of spiders, but I do love to photograph them. I am pretty happy with this shot. Macro photography can be a real challenge. Often I have my lens to open, and the depth of field is too narrow. But I think this is pretty close to what I imagined. I happy with the web....dew.....light...and the spider. That doesn't happy very often for me. This was a win!

52 Weeks of ME- Week Thirty-nine

I'm a week behind. I just figure...one of these weeks, I'll take two pictures, but it isn't gonna happen this week.

Can you tell I'm tired?

Sept3011_0007ew

I don't even care that I look like a big heap of UCK in this shot. I'm just too tired to care these days.

Week 52

myweekdiptych52web

September 19th was a pretty normal Monday. School for The Sugar and work for me. We are having a lovely Fall season here, so far. So much sun. It is beautiful. I get to pick Sugar Bear up off the bus after school about 1-2 times a week....and I cherish the look on her face as she runs to me. It is so very uplifting to be loved by someone so amazing. I'm so very blessed.

September 20th was another gorgeous day here, and I took advantage of the pretty light to grab a shot of our walnut tree. I pass by this tree in our yard on my way to feed the rabbits everyday. It drops leaves, but they don't turn pretty colors. They go from this beautiful green....to brown or black. I'll miss these green leaves in the next few months.

September 21st was a long day at work....and I was feeling pretty uninspired photography wise. I did manage to sneak around the yard and nab a shot of my husband and his friend working on our dune buggy. They were deep in conversation and didn't notice me lurking in the rhododendron bush.

September 22nd was another hard day. Seems like there is just a whole lot of these recently. Grieving in the workplace.....not a fun thing. I took this shot outside of Sugar Bear's dance school, because I kept thinking all day, "There is more than ONE WAY to grieve!"

Sept2211_0011ew

September 23rd I spent the entire day with our staff in trainings. It was good at times.....hard at others. There was anxiety, and hurt.....and memories, and closing. I nabbed this shot of a wall lamp during the training. My heart just wasn't into photography that day. I rather wished I was in the scene on this lamp instead of a being trapped in a room with 100+ people, trying not to think about the one that is not there. sigh.....

September 24th was quiet day at home. Well....sort of. I wanted it to be more relaxed, but there were too many people with expectations of my time. Sugar Bear spent a good deal of time playing with "Fuzzy" and "Cutie". (I'm sure you figure out who is who in this shot.) Later in the day after ascertaining that we have 2 female, and 4 male baby bunnies to sell, my friend came out and bought up the two females. These two little honey bunnies are males....and still for sale. (wink wink....)

September 25th was a fabulous day of fun. We went to a friend's birthday party at the local gymnastics place, and boy oh boy did Sugar Bear have fun. What a great group of kiddos. We are blessed with such wonderful friends.
