Team Up Thursday~ LOVE

Hosted by Megan and Hip Momma

For the last two weeks, I've been witnessing a new game called, Team-Up Thursday, and I tried to just watch and not join....but it just looked like so much fun! I relented to this urge to participate rather early, and contacted a woman whom I admire very much, and asked her to be my partner, and to my great pleasure she agreed! WHEW.....

Berta, from bBchronicles, is an amazing photographer. I never fail to feel at peace when I visit her blog. I thought our photography would compliment each other well. I'm so very excited to TEAM-UP, with Berta, and I know you will enjoy her photos as well.

For our first week, we chose the theme of LOVE. It was an easy one, and we are excited to share our first week of shots. My photo is on the left and Berta's is on the right.

Sometimes you just need to be brought back to what's important

Some of you might know that back in July started a series on Child Sex Offenders. I wrote several articles on it, to mixed reactions, and then I just needed a break. I've been wanting to get started on them again, but have felt that I haven't had the time to devote to the posts. Such posts take a lot of time, and even more emotional energy. This information is never far from my thoughts, but I just couldn't find the stimulus to get moving on it again. TODAY, I got that motivation.

I don't watch daytime TV, so it was news to me that Oprah had a very special episode on. While perusing the Internet, I ran into a friend that pointed her readers to the video of a very important Oprah interview. I am THRILLED to see this subject getting such national/Global publicity, and I simply can't put this subject on the back burner again.

If anyone learns ONE single thing from these posts, I will have done something good. So this is the post to announce that I will be continuing with this series, and I will not stop until I'm done, even if it gets hard, I'll persevere.

If you have not read my previous posts, or would like a reminder of what has been already discussed, I'd like to invite you to read them.

Please take the time to watch the OPRAH interview. Cory Jewell Jensen, the amazing woman whom I have received training from, spoke on the Oprah show years ago, and while this most recent interview is not related to Cory Jewell Jensen, nothing on the video is news to me. What is shown is right on track with what I have learned, and what I want to share with you all. The videos are long, but so worth it. It will be hard to watch, and for some of you, impossible as you have been touched by this horrendous problem, but as many of you that can.....please don't click away. Please watch and learn. Please protect the children.

Kitty Sees Red

We finally made it to the last week of January, which was a month of COLOR. Sugar Bear chose the color RED to finish off the month.
Day 147
(Kitty hanging out with one of the many hairbows I've made for Sugar Bear in the last 5 years. This is one of my favorites. I love the fuzzy marabou.)

Day 148
(We were excited to see a nice RED leather couch at the dentist's office. Kitty was glad to just sit back and watch.)

Day 149
(We are a fan of Netflix. I would like it even better if my Internet would allow me to watch them instantly. My darn satellite Internet is for the birds!)

Day 150
(Gotta love pottery. This is one of the bowls I've made with my friends.)

Day 151
(Totally a day for seeing RED! It was THAT day. This is Kitty feeling pretty pissy next to the snake aquarium. There is a red heating light on both aquariums.)

Day 152
(I spent the day sewing....and the Kitty was a big help!)

That wraps up five sets of colors for the month of January, leaving ONE day on it's own. I had decided that I would take a photo of kitty with something from each set of color.

Day 153
(Yellow Flower, green balloon, pink foam magnets, blue hat, and red bow.)

I couldn't help but make a mosaic for all the colors. I just love how it turned out.

I can hardly believe that I have been doing this project since September. I have over 150 pictures of kitty. Should I keep going? Am I done? What do you think?
