Camera Critters~ Splish, Splash, Slither

Camera Critters

While camping back in July, I noticed a small snake nestled near a rock in the creek Sugar Bear was playing in.

Yes....IN the water...

as in UNDER water...

And then on TOP of the water.

Until he/she decided to come out and see us.

As a child, I loved snakes. I could often be found outside playing with little garden snakes.

I even enjoyed taunting my brother with them. He has NEVER been a fan of snakes.

Somewhere along my life journey, I became less and less fascinated with snakes. In fact, you aren't likely to see me picking one up these days.

We did, however enjoy this little critters visit. Come back next week to see more.

Great shots! I would have been quite scared if I saw a snake nearby.

You have got to be kidding! I shuddered when I got to the part where it came out of the water! I so wouldn't have been taking those photos, and most definitely would have run for the car. Alaska=No Snakes. I just can't imagine those things running free!

I really like the last image of this series.

These little fellas are harmless and quite funny... I think it's awesome that Sugar was amused with it. Great captures, made me smile. =)

Slowly getting back into the blogosphere and wanted to say thank you for coming by during my accident and for the nice comments... it really meant so much. {Hug}

That would have scared me, but only because I don't know enough about snakes to know whether or not that was poisonous or anything. Gorgeous pics though.

We ahve so many on the property I'm not that thrilled and near a lake of poisonous snakes. I fear for my dogs and cats and me sandy

I never would have thought there'd be a snake under the water. It made for great photos though!

Ooooo, great photos... although I'm not a fan of snakes, at least not up close. Good for you for at least getting in there close enough to snap a pic! I wouldn't be brave enough to venture in there. :P

Great shots of the snakes! I would have been scared but sure glad you weren't so that we could enjoy seeing your pictures!

The 3rd and 4th pictures are great. :) And well, snakes have a time and a place for everyone. I remember holding a giant boa one day when I was younger and you're right, I'm not sure I want to do that again either. ;)

Eeeek! You are a braver woman than me. I would have freaked, grabbed my kid out of the water, and escaped.
But still - great shots!
