Sugar Bear's little Friends
In yesterday's post, I asked you to try to figure out WHAT Sugar Bear was playing with. It wasn't easy....as you really can't see anything at all, but....if you look at what she is doing, it really isn't hard to figure out that is appears to be something alive. I suspected that a few would say "frog" and or "bug". In fact....it was a BABY SNAKE.

There are three baby Gardener snakes that live under a Baseball Tee in our yard. At any point in time, Sugar Bear can venture out there, lift the Tee, and pick up one of the snakes. She does this.....OFTEN. Several times a week.....almost every day. She love love loves her baby snakes.

One in particular is most tolerant of her play. He is featured in the photo below. He can be easily told apart from the others by his injured tail. NO Sugar did not cause the injury, but she sure as heck feels sorry for him. I do, too. It has healed up nicely, but it isn't the same. We should call him Stumpy.
If you look REALLY closely to the photos I post just yesterday, you'll see that it appears that something.....went down her sleeve. Hmmm....wonder what that was?
Okay...okay.....so I know a few of you just had to turn away....and some of you might have vomited in your mouth just a little. Maybe you just shrieked...and woke your whole household. I'm sorry for that, but I simply could NOT pass up the opportunity to capture this moment in time for my darling Sugar Bear. She is amazing. She has always been so very curious about nature, and seemingly fearless of what it has to offer. I have worked hard to hold back my own issues....my own fears, and let her choose for herself.

I THINK I'VE DONE PRETTY GOOD, don't you?
She is such a nature girl. We both learn so much from her little adventures. I am grateful for these experiences. It has truly enriched my life.
Life is GOOD!

Fish Eye Fun
oh how I love to play with my Opteka .35x HD² Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye Lens for Canon EOS / EF (could that name be any longer?). Seriously.....it is always such a treat to capture a few shots with this very affordable little toy. These pictures were taken off handedly after I finished up snagging a shot for a Team Up Thursday theme back in March.
Sugar Bear was just playing around, and I couldn't resist snapping a few of my darling girl. Looking at these now....I can't help but giggle. They truly capture my life. Look at that MESS!
That is my yard. A mess. I hardly bother to try to keep it up. We have too many animals roaming free.....eating and pooping....and such. The Hubby is constantly driving through it with his jeep, or dune buggy. The moles.....they love our yard, so it is bumpy....and lumpy. Our Mini Horse is our lawn mower. She does a great job, but she drags things off the porch into the grass. She is a very curious little honey.
Even the Cat looks disgusted with the chaos that is our life. tee hee....but I'm not. It just is what it is. It is lived in. Enjoyed each day......used....and abused. We clean it up....but it looks like this sooner than later. It's all good. Life is messy....that way you know you are really living.
I know this post is sort of lame....but I'm short on time....and wanted to share these photos. Do me a favor. Take a close look and throw some ideas out here in the comment section as to WHAT Sugar Bear is playing with. I'll reveal tomorrow.

Ummmm....NO.....we didn't.
Okay....funny story. Remember my Wordless Wednesday post this week? You don't? Well where were you? harumph.....how rude.
Anyhow....well.....I might have hinted that this sweet darling little puppy MIGHT be our newest pet.....
AND.....I might have meant to reveal the honest truth BEFORE I left to go out of town......then......sort of.....ran out of time. (whistling, with hands in pockets.....and eyes averted.)
Well.....ummmmm..... Please say Hello to Panda. She belongs to my Mother and Father in law. Isn't she a cutie? oh so very cute........
But I am sooooooooooooo not wanting a puppy right now. 10+ pets is enough for me right now....and I have said before, "a puppy is WAY more work than a newborn. You can put a diaper on the baby, and it doesn't chew up your stuff!"
But.....a visit from a puppy....THAT is perfect.
