The other day, Carolyn pointed me in the direction of this really fascinating quiz . I am not usually too quick to participate in Internet Quizzes, but this one was different. In my life, I am a bit of a people watcher. I am extremely interested in human behavior, so this particular activity of observing people smile, and determining whether they are faking it or not appealed to me greatly. I successfully identified 19 out of 20. It validated my belief that I read people fairly well.
I urge you to go give it a try, and come back and let us know how you did and how it made you feel.
I have to admit....I am a bit confused still about one of them. I think I was distracted by trying to figure out if IT was male or female. eeeekkkk.....

Shudder. I'm gonna have nightmares after that one. You ARE good Corey - I got 15/20 and I consider myself quite the student of such things. :) I missed MORE after the scary person than I did before. Guess I got a little freaked!

I got 18/20. I thought I would probably get less than that just because there were some I wasn't quite sure about. But, I've also read a book about how to spot emotions in people's faces and knew to look for the lines around the eyes. So...I went into with "inside information" I suppose. I thought it would be a good book to read for reading my clients better.
I got 13 out of 20. I laughed through this entire quiz. I don't know what it is about watching people laugh in front of a camera that I find so amusing. Anyway thanks for the great laugh even though I didn't really do that well. Most of my wrong answers were with the fake ones that I thought were real.

Isn't it just amazing how even the slightest smile of sincerity warms to the core ... while a 'radiant' and explosive smile without soul leaves us cold ... to the point of offended?

I only got 12 out of 20 (worst so far!!)and I have a sodding DEGREE in psychology. Obviously money well spent for my folks, then....
Suzy and I have the same score AND the same degree! In our defense, I think that we were stunned silly by the shocking array of unattractive people!
Interesting... I got 18 correct. Wrong on one girl which was fake, one guy which was genuine. After watching those two smiles again, I should have caught the girl fake one... but still would be a toss up on the guy.
I think the he/she is a he.
And, after a couple of them, they all did start to look generally funny :-D
