Surprisingly, I didn't have to look far for a fun subject for this week's theme. On Father's Day, we took a little trip to a lovely garden to see the beautiful flowers.
Near the entrance we found this lovely fountain. I snapped one photo before I heard Sugar Bear say, "I have to go potty, Mama!" I had to laugh at the universal reaction to the sound of WATER splashing.
After a quick potty break, we made out way back to the fountain for more photos. Sugar spent most of her time trying to touch the water, while I split my time between composing some shots, and keeping Sugar from falling in.
My MOM duties kept me from getting a full fountain shot, as I refused to get that far from Sugar Bear, and she was pretty adamant about checking out the WATER.
Most of these photos have some technical difficulties, and I acknowledge them, but I am learning to accept such things when I am shooting at the same time a toddler is in my care. I simply cannot always take my time to re-adjust settings when the Sugar is running about. Safety FIRST!
It was a beautifully sunny day, and the garden was delightful. The sound of the fountain certainly completed the picture.
I do hope to make it back someday when I don't have a busy toddler and an impatient Hubby, so that I can do this fountain the justice it deserves.
In the mean time.....I'll just enjoy the memories of Sugar's delight!
Have a great weekend! I look forward to seeing all the WATER. I'll just be sure to take a potty break before I start looking. :)
*** oh and don't forget I'm on Top Momma! CLICK HERE!!!!! I know.....It's getting a bit old, but I am so thrilled to have lasted nearly 6 months on there. What a blessing. Thank you all who have clicked on the link and helped me achieve this accomplishment.***
45 Live It or Love It:
Even though with Sugar eager to explore the water which you've gotta be real careful together with an impatient hubby. Those pictures are great :)
Have a good weekend Corey :)
Lovely shots Corey, I don't know why you are worrying about that. Have a great weekend.
So lovely. All the photos are great.
Sugar is such a cutie! Great pics for the theme :) Happy photo hunting, and thanks for stopping by :)
I agree about not letting the guards down when toddlers are around bodies of water or water sources -artificial or not. Great shots despite the mmm distraction.
Great shots and your Sugar is such a photogenic child. She adds to the beauty of the fountain.
wow, very nice corey, thanks for your nice comment
wooooowwwww very nice picture!!! Mine is not as beautiful as these...but it's fun.. hehehe... please visit me here
A lovely fountain and Sugar is so captivated by the water. :)
I love your work! These are great shots. Thanks for sharing.
Happy Hunting!
Those are just beautiful! Great composition. It's funny how kids are intrigued by water -- my middle one especially loved it wherever he could find it.
I love the droplets frozen in midair! Nice stop-action. I have come to the same conclusion about taking photos with the kiddo in tow - I just can't focus enough to really give it my best, and she has to come first! But still, these are great.
Your water photos are fabulous! Thanks for coming by mine - and in the recent readers over in your sidebar - I'm Pyewacket - well, my siamese is actually. :)
I love the fourth one. You always do a great job. It sounds like Sugar likes water as much as The Bean.
These are gorgeous pictures - as always!
Suger is such a cutie!
Happy Weekend!
I love the pictures of fountain.
Gosh, if these shots have some problems, then who cares? They are stunning! I actually prefer the shots of the parts rather than the whole. Makes it more intriguing. Come on over to see my take on the theme this week - not nearly as good as yours, but still....you might enjoy it. :D Have a great weekend.
great catch for this week theme, thanks for dropping by.
Those are really beautiful photos! Even though I don't have a toddler with me I don't think I can take such nice photos. @.@
What a wonderful set of photos for the theme. Your daughter is such a cutie! Have a great weekend
Wow these are lovely. Breathtaking. You are so skilled and have such an eye for photography! Wonderful set for our theme.
Oh wow! The second last one is amazing. And yes, chasing after a child and taking photos are not good mates :)
Are these taken with your new lens? I think I like your lens more than mine :)
again another beautiful series of photos... stunning.
There may be technical problems but for sheer beauty, they are great.
Hi Corey. You always take beautiful pictures. I could just imagine how fun it was taking photos on a lovely day with Sugar. She makes your pictures come alive.
You have really great shots! :) I enjoyed looking at them!
A lot of good shots here! Nicely done...
Terrific shots... I didn't notice any technical difficulties since Sugar is in them :-)
I had an an oppotunity to take photos like this on Tuesday! But, I was by myself with Emma on a college campus and didn't bring the camera with us as we walked around. She's just too much to handle alone! I love them...especially the water droplets splashing in the fountains.
Beautiful fountain shots captured in mid air!
Dear Friend, you did this fountain PLENTY of justice! The shots are amazing!! I especially love the second last one.
This was an excellent collection of watery shots. And a cutest kid too.
Have a great weekend!
Great pics, the fountain look so vintage and kid looked so cuted in those photos...
hehehe, these water sounds sure works for the kids...And as usual, seeing Sugar being mesmerize with her surrounding is just so lovely..
Pearl - happy weekend
Some nice shots there of the fountain anyway. A lovely day out for you both
If I could take pictures like that I'd be delighted!! Wonderful.
I especially love the snaps with your gal's Crocs framing the shot. Came upon your blog thru another link--hope you visit soon!
Hey Corey, Nice pics as always. And yup, I clicked away for ya!
Oh, and where was the lighthouse picture taken? You know. the one on Photobucket?
I love all the photos! Lovely!
so amazing.
just that!
im glad to find such visual treats!
Technical problems or not, those are some great shots. Isn't it fun to rediscover the worls through he eyes of your child?
I must say that all these pics look great to me. I am trying (hard) to take good pictures and I am glad I stumbled upon your blog. Anyway, I am back in action. Please visit when you have time, ok? Happy weekend.
Blimey Cor, I can't believe you're apologizing for these shots, they're amazing. :D
yeah, if you're apologizing for *your* shots, i *really* have to apologize for mine!!! and i refuse to do that. i won't.
All great photos and Sugarbear is a little cutie,.... that would make me leary, her sitting and leaning over the water. Glad all was well. Have a wonderful week.
