You Have To Admit....It Is Catchy!

Okay, so I was cleaning the kitchen the other day, and Sugar Bear was asking me to sing a song for her. I have been doing this for as long as I can remember. She loves to hear me sing. I have no idea why, because I really do not sing well, but what I lack in skill, I make up for in volume, and enthusiasm.
Rarely wanting to disappoint my little honey, I began to sing, making up a song about cleaning the kitchen. I was totally silly, and was not to proud to sing rather loudly about dirty dishes. I sang....she listened intently like her Mama was some sort of Opera star. I have to admit I relish this stage when everything I do is the COOLEST thing she has ever seen.

Suddenly, Sugar proclaimed it to be her turn. This is a fairly new development. She has finally found her courage to just make up the song as she goes. I am loving it. At this point it might be prudent to point out that our singing style is much like that of Will Ferrell, in the movie "Elf". Here is a clip from the movie, to refresh your memory (seriously, to really get her song in your head you need to watch it. I'll wait........go ahead......NOW!):

Okay, I feel fairly confident that you can follow her song now. It is important to note that the entire time she is singing she is dancing around the kitchen, and is completely and utterly DEAD serious! She was, that is.......but I, on the other hand, had a hard time maintaining my proper audience composure. Let's see how you do.

"I am singingggggg................and when I'm singing a songggggg, that means YOU have to be quiettttt..... Oh YEAHHHHHHHHHHH....

Singing a Songggggggggggg..........about having to go pottyyyyyyy.....Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhh....Gotta go pottttttyyyyyyy.

You Gotta eattttttttt.....lots of prunesssssssssssssssssssss.....to make it SOFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!! OH YEAHHHHHHH........ make it soft!

Singingggggg.....a songggggggggggggg.....and YOU have to be quiet!"

Seriously, Folks.....my 3 going on 83 year old child has issues. SERIOUS ISSUES!!!

That's so funny! My 14yo son came in to see what I was laughing about and I sang him your daughter's rendition and he's still laughing in the other room.

You need to hide a 'corder and let us see and hear this star-in-the-making! How sweet!

that is just adorable!!

My son, who is 9, and is clearly deaf, thinks I am a fabulous singer. I'm seriously the worst. They won't even let me be in the same city where they host auditions for Canadian Idol. They have my photo posted everywhere...

Bless the children who sing badly too!! I love how educational the song is though, i really did learn so much ;)

Hee hee, Miss M is doing this too and they are also generally about toilets in some way. That one though, is very classy as you get toileting and nutrition. Go Sugar.

So what's with the prunes, Corey -- you keepin' a stash? ;)

Funny how they always love to sing bathroom topic songs at the top of their lungs, huh? At least she was at home -- this time ;)
