Photostory Friday~ Shhhhhhhh....

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

It has been a WONDERFUL week.  Or so I choose to believe so.  In fact, this week has had the makings of a really delicious stress sandwich at work, but I'm purposefully choosing to see it as a big old buffet of DESSERTS!

I'm sure you all know that STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERTS, right?

Anyhow, one of my most annoying habits is my crazy idea of trying to look at the bright side.  I am not always successful, but usually, I have some sort of scheme to at least TRY to find the good in any situation.

This week, I have had about 40 bazillion things to get done at work, and some of which is of GREAT importance.  Some of which....if not done appropriately could cost my program at large sum of money....like in the six figures......per year.......forever.  Yeah...that is the sort of stress, I tend to let get to me.  It would be one thing if I had a good lump of time to dedicate towards this project, but oh heck no....I had to spend at least two of the days in all day meetings.  Planning meetings........the sort of meetings that while they are very important, they often seem to feel like they aren't.

While I could have let the stress send me into a frenzy, I decided it really wasn't worth it, so I looked for the ray of sunshine, and I found it:

Both meetings landed me in the public Library.  The meetings were held in the conference room, but the breaks afforded me the time to sit among the children's books and slowly look through them to find some wonderful books to share with my Sugar Bear.

I LOVE the library.  I LOVE books.  Each and every minute I spend in a Library reminds me of the amazing GOOD in the world.  I love to flip through the books and find the perfect stories for Sugar Bear.  I enjoy getting a WIDE variety of old and new.  It gives me such a great sense of wonder, and peace.  I could sit in the isle between two shelves, and peer at each one for hours.

THIS was my JOY in a week that could have been awful.  I had the luck of having easily given time to the library.  I didn't have to make a special trip.  I didn't have to allot the time to indulge. It was just there....and so was I.

It has been a WONDERFUL week.

Corey, I admire you for looking at the bright side. Sometimes that is NOT easy at all. And what better place to find some balance and peace, than in the library -- one of my favorite places of all!

Well done on being so motivated and optimistic. I have a rough week ahead with family coming from all over for Stacey's 21st and I have SOOOO much to do. I will keep your spirit in mind as I go about my chores! Works pretty hectic too! How I miss visits to the children's library - something special about the quietness, the smell of the books and excited little faces!

It's a great quality to find the good in the stress. The library is a wonderful place. We visit every Tuesday.

It is NOT always easy to look at the bright side, but I also find happiness in the library. There is something about all children's books brings a smile to my face.

Oh Corey you are such a brilliant friend and always an inspiration. Thanks so much for being there for me and I'm hoping to be here a lot more often now. Big hugs to you and that Sugar Bear, and yay for libraries and for amazing friends who can turn positives to negatives in pretty much every situation. Love you loads. xx
