I was pretty excited to see that this weekend's theme is NAUTICAL. You see, The Hubby is a Commercial Fisherman, so....ummm NAUTICAL is very much our way of life around here. I have TONS of NAUTICAL photos. Making a choice amongst them all would be very difficult, so instead....I decided to go with the most recent NAUTICAL shot I have taken. They are totally NOT my best work, BUT they say quite a bit about our life.
So......Who is this little person? and what is she hiding behind?
Oh of course...it is Sugar Bear. Who else would it be? But what is that large metal thing? It surely isn't a.........Large......
This is the boat The Hubby is currently Skippering. It was hauled out of water recently for some repairs. This boat is a little over half the size of the last boat he worked on. Regardless...it is plenty BIG. I admit I took these photos FAST. Even though in the 18 years I've been around shipyards, I have NEVER heard of a boat falling off the lift, I still didn't like little Sugar hanging out under that huge thing. eeekkkkk.....doesn't she look small?
Thank you for coming by my blog this weekend. I look forward to seeing all the NAUTICAL photos. Have a great weekend!
33 Live It or Love It:
Sugar is looking real tiny under the boat!!!!
Cool shots from the shipyard :)
Happy Valentine's Day!
Great pictures and story to go with them. Wow, a Photo Hunter whose husband is a commercial fisherman -- very cool and, I'd think, unusual! :b
That's an awesome sequence--it's like a little story in itself!
Wow, that is a huge boat! Very cool!
These are great shots for the theme and as always Sugar Bear is so photogenic. I'd be the same way about taking them fast with my daughter standing there and mine is 24, and no longer little. Happy weekend.
Wow, those are an awesome series of shots! And great to get some insight into your family.
I know I say this ALL the time, but I just LOVE Sugar's smile!
My legs turned shaky just by seeing little Sugar Bear under that "Godzilla".. haha. Anyway, where's the fish I was hoping to see? :P
Happy Valentine's Day!
