There is a very special girl in our family. Our almost three year old Black Lab, Daisy, is our sweet little honey pot.
She is a constant companion of each and every one of us. She lives and breathes to go places with the Hubby. Mostly because HIS places are outside and adventuresome. She loves to go swimming, or hunting, or swimming AND hunting. She is a go getter, and feels pretty sad when left home when The Hubby's jeep starts up and leaves.
She prefers to lay at MY feet when we are in the house in the evenings. She loves to rest her head atop my feet or crossed ankles. I don't mind, as I'm always welcome of added body heat.
Lastly, she ADORES The Sugar Bear (who doesn't???), and the feeling is mutual. I took these shots last weekend when Sugar was throwing the ball for Daisy. Isn't she a cutie? Her left ear has issues. She was born that way, but we love her anyhow. Funky ear and all. She is the BEST dog. Well behaved.....potty trained.......loving......and I have only heard her bark ONCE in her life.
She is a great companion for Sugar Bear. One time, Sugar and her were out playing on our deck, while I was cooking dinner. There was laughing and running involved. Sugar came inside and said, "Mama, we are having so much fun! Daisy and me are playing FREEZE TAG!!!!" tee hee...gosh I love my girls.
19 Live It or Love It:
Daisy is adorable. I think her funky ear gives her more character.
We have a black lab too named Bruno. We love him very much too. Sadly, he has never gone swimming nor hunting. I'm sure he would love that. He loves going out on long walks with us.
My heart melted seeing these photo's...Daisy is beautiful, so shiny. I want a dog but till we decided what we going to do or should I say where we going to settle we cant even think of it.
Thanks for sharing, am sure she adores Sugar Bear...as you said * who doesn't*
;)
Isn't it special the memories we can make in life with a secession of wonderful canine friends.. You are blessed.Sandy
I love your images of your "buddy". He is beautiful! I just got a big dog for the first time and feel like I am in for a treat!
She must have a great 'will to please'. You can see that in her eyes. We have three black labs. They are the best companions one can have. Good natured, sense of humour, always happy. Love them.
So I really like your post, great pictures too!
Simply wonderful series of images/ Nothing finer than a happy dog.
Awww. I always love other people's dogs!
Gosh, that's beautiful dog!
Lovely images of Daisy. She's gorgeous and her happy personality shines through.
That's a good dog! We're going to have to get a dog for The Bean once we get our house and actually have a yard. I hope we find one as sweet as Daisy!
Daisy looks just like a lab we used to "babysit" when her parents were out of town. Our little French Bulldog didn't know how to bark until we babysat her!
They always look so happy, She is adorable
Our kitty's ear has issues too - but like you, we love him anyway!
You nailed all of these shots ~ they are fantastic!
(For the iHeartFaces contest, we let each person decide if the photo should be adults or kids. If you think they look too old to be in the Kid category, I would put it in the Adult category if I were you.) Can't wait to see what you enter this week! I'm a huge fan of your work.
Daisy is definitely awesome!
She looks just like our old lab, Maisie. I know of someone in FL who lost their home and have 2 3 yr old labs they are trying to place. They want them to stay together because they are so bonded, and want a good home. I wish I could take them but we already have 2 big dogs and they eat enough!
Great shots!
Oh she is beautiful. Who couldn't love that face?
Oh - she's fantastic! She's beautiful, and those eyes are so full of emotion.
You had me at 'hello' with this post ;-)
