Like many families this past week, we spent time putting together little tokens of affection for our friends and family. I enjoy these times. It feels good to share the meaning behind the things we do. We baked together, and ate together. We carefully picked which little card each person might enjoy. It is my goal to not focus so much on WHAT we are giving them, but more on appreciating EACH PERSON as we go through the process. As we looked for a particular person's Valentine, we'd talk about what that person enjoys, and what we like about them. It is really hard to NOT have some serious warm fuzzies about the blessings in our life, after a evening of acknowledging them.
Oh....and adorable, yummy cookies don't hurt either.

The quotes in this post, are some of my favorites when it comes to LOVE. I'm sure you have noticed that I can be a bit sappy....this is true. However, the bestest quote I found today concludes this post. It says so much.....and was written LONG ago....but still RIGHT ON!
Whatever else is unsure in this stinking dunghill of a world a mother's love is not.-James Joyce
