My week 36

myweekdiptych37web

June 5th brought a flying dog. That doesn't happen every day. :) This marked the day that Ivy figured out how to catch a tennis ball in mid-air, and DANG.GIRL.....she gets into it. We were at my brother's house for a BBQ. It was a GREAT day. Miss SASS is here to visit. WOO HOO. We love, love.....LOVE (sorry, Carol) our Miss Sass. (if you don't know who Miss Sass is....click through and read about her....you won't be sorry. Even the dog is doing back flips because she is here. tee hee) ♥ ♥ ♥

June 6th I had to work.....even though it was officially my first week of summer vacation. After work, I grabbed a few minutes of reading in my truck. I do that sometimes. Only when I know Sugar is enjoying some time with her friends, and I'm really feeling like I just need to get myself together after work. Nothing like reading a good book for 30 minutes to center yourself again.

June 7th after picking up the Sugar Bear after school we headed on down to the boat that The Hubby has been skippering lately to meet my parents and Miss Sass and her boyfriend. We wanted to show the Virginia guests a real shrimp boat. and yes.....every time I say or think that.....I am instantly saying goofy lines from the movie "Forrest Gump". My hubby is a shrimp boat captain. tee hee.......and Sugar Bear enjoyed pretending to steer the boat.

June 8th was "picture day" for the dance school. Sugar Bear had to be all dressed up again like she had been for recital. She loves her sparkly costume this year....and her smile shows it. :) It was hard to say goodbye to some dance friends, as this was the last day of class until fall. It gives us something to look forward to though....next dance year. ♥

June 9th our Toby cat decided he really wanted a better look at the bunnies. eeekkkk.......but he was such a good boy, and the rabbits didn't seem to be afraid. We all just hung out in the sun together. Sugar Bear, Miss Sass, Ivy, Toby, a few bunnies, Tiny (our horse) and me. It was delightful.

June 10th I nabbed a shot of Miss Sass and "the girls". What fun. They are all cousins. Miss Sass' great grandma and my great grandma were sisters. :) These little girls love Miss Sass, and I can't blame them. She is one of my favorite people on this planet earth. ♥

June 11th really says it all. Sugar Bear doesn't warm up quickly to ANYBODY! Well....anybody but Miss Sass. They hadn't seen eachother in TWO LONG YEARS, and after 3 days....they were inseperable. I do mean that. Sugar could hardly let Miss Sass out of her sight. In this shot, Miss Sass is watching TV and Sugar Bear is snuggling on her. ♥ What a blessing to have some time together.

It really was a wonderful week. My life is full. There really is something to say about 365 photo projects. They give you a concrete way of looking at all the amazing things that happen every single day in your life. Things that so often are over looked. Putting these "my week" collages together has a way of lifting my spirit that overwhelms me sometimes. Look at my life....just look at how BLESSED I am. ♥

Miss Sass!!! I know I probably say this every time I see her picture but I still remember that little precious baby. She was so darn cute, she has turned into such a beautiful young woman. So glad that you were able to spend some time with her.
