Last week....or was it two weeks ago????.....I introduced Egg-bert and Ernie. Sugar Bear was thrilled to have a successful Wondertime activity. Egg-bert and Ernie, being a tad fragile spent their days on our Kitchen window sill. The enjoyed observing my kitchenly duties, and often offered to help with the dishes. I do think it was Ernie's obsession with the bath tub and rubber ducky that fed his desire to pitch in. I lovingly declined all offers, as I was worried about getting dirt in the sink, so they were contented to just watch. About once a day, they would take turns braving the Sugar, while I let her hold them, and discuss their hair growth.
After several weeks, Sugar Bear noticed that their hair was getting a bit....ummmmm TALL, and wondered if we could maybe give them a bit of a trim. EGG-cellent idea!
Egg-bert volunteered to go first. What a trooper. I am, however, not entirely sure he understood that SUGAR BEAR would be doing the cutting. You just have to admire his bravery. I mean look at that smile...you'd never know he was fearing for his delicate little life, would you?
Egg-bert, and I were please with the new style. What do you think? Is it Egg-galant?
Obviously Sugar Bear did NOT agree, as suddenly, and completely without Egg-bert's approval, the scissors swifly came in and readied for a drastic snip.
Oh my heavens....I am not Egg-agerating. If Egg-bert had been able......there would a have been shrieks of horror.
While both Egg-bert and I picked our jaw off the floor, Sugar quietly went about evening it up.
A snip here....a snip there.
And TaDa! All he needs are some black rimmed glasses, and we'd have Drew Care-Egg!
Heed my warning.....be very wary of asking Sugar Bear to take "alittle off the top!"
The only question is.....where's Ernie? He was just here a minute ago! Huh? That's strange.
"Oh Ernie! come out come out where ever you are!"
28 Live It or Love It:
LOL, too cute! Poor poor Egg-bert, I'm sure he didn't want a crew cut!
What a cute story! I especially like the last picture with the "Come out, come out wherever you are!"
How fun! You are so creative. And, the light in your photos is gorgeous!
toddlers and scissors... we are living it too with a 4 year old.
You think you know what you are doing but scissors in the hands of a toddler... Prepare for anything ;-)
ohh extremely cute pictures though. Don't worry. The hair will grow out ;-)
That's hilarious! A little crew cut!
That is just too cute!
That's so cute. She did a pretty good job with those scissors!
Oh my, she's a bit of an over exuberant butcher...I mean barber. Her cuteness makes it forgiveable, tho. It's just hair, it'll grow back!
Too cute, and i love how you told the story. Adorable girl, and awesome light!
Can't believe she's wearing fleece pjs bow...
a pajama-clad hairdresser. now THAT's a HOOK!!! market that baby!
He does sorta look like Bert, doesn't he? I really like Egg-bert's new "do," though! As always, the snaps are stunning. I don't know if I told you this, but I break out into a big, big smile every time I see Sugar Bear with all those stickers all over her face! :)
Absolutely adorable!
Like any stylist, she's just confident in what she thinks is best for her client. Be sure to show us how the next trim goes!
Sugar Bear is an artsy stylist. I love the face she makes when she's concentrating and how much fun she has cutting egg-bert's hair :)
Sugar Bear, I need a haircut too!!
This is the cutest thing ever!
Head for the hills Ernie!
I love it! I really need to do this with my kids!
That is too cute. I feel that way myself sometimes when I go to get my hair cut. ;)
Great post!
I just love how you "take us through" the whole event. This looks like so much fun!
The crew cut is a popular style. Too cute. She looks like she's having a blast with that haircut. :)
I gave you an award if you'd like to stop by and check it out.

Great photo journaling. We also made our eggs, but 1 of 3 was broken before we got dirt into it. Waiting for grass to grow...
Oh my bob Corey you just had me laughing so much. She evened it up really well though, hee hee.
Now that is a high and tight! I will let you know that I CRIED when Husband came home with a haircut for Will like that!
LOL - Oh I love this story, and the photos are perfect! Poor Egg-bert - that's quite a drastic cut, lol. Oh well, it'll grow back. :)
As if the pictures weren't sweet enough! Your story was precious!!!!!
I can SO relate to her inability to stop herself once she got started. You should only SEE my bangs right now. Oh dear. Hope Ernie still has his eyebrows!
