“The best things in life are silly” ~Scott Adams
There is no doubt that I am incredibly behind in sharing our summer fun on here. I have yet to share some pretty great moments in both June and July....tadpole catching, swimming lessons, camping, music and crafts. They will show themselves in time, but I am still finding myself in a funk due to a plethora of bad news last week, so I am busting out some silly photos today. I actually took these in mid-June, and hadn't really intended on sharing them....but for some reason, they are speaking to me today.
On a summer evening, you can often find Sugar Bear and I wandering along the road at which we reside. We are blessed by a lovely view, and greeted by the merriment of nature. It is one of our favorite pastimes.
Glancing back through these photos tonight, I was transported back to that particular evening, that wasn't all that much different than any of the other times, but for some reason stands out. Maybe it was the fact that She is still in her Jammies. I had just pulled a pair of overalls on over the PJ's she'd worn all day. It has to have been a good day if we are still in our jammies, right? At least in my book it is.....
As I wandered along that evening, I found myself:
Invited by the PLAYFULNESS!
In love with the JOY!
Entranced by the BEAUTY!
Intrigued by the SILLINESS!
Engrossed in the SIMPLE BLISS!
Uplifted by the WONDERMENT!
Swept away in the BREEZE!
And Relaxed by the PEACE!
The simple life of the animals that co-exist in our little neck of the woods gave us such basic entertainment. Watching them "do their thang", somehow settled my racing mind, and brought me back to what really matters in life.
It just doesn't get much better than that. TRULY.....LIFE IS GOOD!
We are lucky to often find ourselves meandering our way back home, standing among the tall grass, and letting the sound of the breeze bless our souls.

13 Live It or Love It:
How could you not feel the sun on your face looking at those perfect photographs? Love them all...thanks Corey.
If I could live anywhere, it would be where you are. The landscape is truly amazing!
I *love* these photos of Sugar, especially the one of her sweet profile. :-)
What a fabulous place for a child to grow up (and for her mommy to get some even more fabulous photos of her)!
How can you help but feel a little more at peace after looking at these? They are just beautiful...you captured the magic of that evening. I agree about a day in jammies. :) I LOVE the "Joy" and "wonderment" photos - both her expressions and that glorious light!
This is a great post...you have reminded me that I need to slow down a bit:)
I love the silliness of the shots, it shows her character :) You live in such a beautiful place, you lucky fish!
those last three remind me of a certain program about a certain house on a certain prairie...
Ya know, every time I open your blog and see Little Sticker Face, I get a chuckle! These are some seriously beautiful photos, gal! I can see the spirit of your subjects in the way you use composition to the best advantage. BTW, Uncle Lynn has authorized another Great Pop'rs Giveaway--it starts tomorrow, so stay tuned!
Oh, Corey. These are fabulous! I love the simple bliss shot as well as the one of her walking along the fence. The ones of her in the tall grass are wonderfull. Goodness, they are all wonderful. Sugar is getting so big! She looks so much like you. Thanks for sharing. Seeing Sugar always brightens my day.
Great shots! I really captured all the joy and wonder to be found in a simple walk.
Just catching up on your blog today! I love your new header. I knew it was a good pick for a header. Sugar is as cute as she can be! We love to stay in our jammies all day at my house too!
Those are great photos and a great post. I love the quote at the end.
Beautiful. I am a little jealous of where you live but you know that right? Gorgeous shots that have a real peace about them Corey. Thanks for sharing.
