I ♥ Faces~ Creative Crop

This week's theme is CREATIVE CROP.  I find that I do most of my creative cropping in camera, but for this theme, I wanted to choose something that I did in post processing.

The photo I chose this week, is one that I creatively cropped in an effort to save a shot that I screwed up.  Well, I didn't actually screw it up, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I was playing with my aperture.  With the Depth of field so narrow, only one side of her face was in focus.  I liked the photo, and wanted to play with it a bit.  This is what I came up with:

And here is the original photo:

This week's theme is really intersting.  I look forward to heading over to the I ♥ Faces blog several times to see all the fun entries.  You should too.

Yep, I just decided I will not ever take photos that good! :) And when I get close to it it will be after my kids are long grown...I just don't want to give up sewing and knitting and the teeny tiny bit of ME time to figure this camera out. Darn it! You are so talented.

Oh depth of field.. gets me all the time. I love the crop you did on this one, it's perfect for the theme. I probably would have tossed it out! Hmmmm maybe I'll have to go relook at some of my screw ups.

Wowzers! I love your crop. How do you keep from plastering your walls with all of your incredible pictures of your sweet little girl. I would have to frame this one. I love the light in her eyes and how you can see that she is really thinking about something. Beautifully done!

you asked about collages...I love the precreated ones at www.lumapix.com It is quicker and faster than photoshop.

What a great entry. Congrats on your winning. Your work is really beautiful. You deserve the credit. BTW....please join me for Scenic Sundays - a photography meme I created. It focuses more on the beautiful places rather than the beautiful faces. Hope to see you there!
