Remembering Summer

If you have been around my blog for awhile, you might be wondering what is up with my posting all sorts of summer photos recently.



It surely isn't that I am yearning for summer, as fun as it was.



I am just getting caught up on some photo editing.



You see, in the summer months, I take photos nearly everyday. There is absolutely NO WAY I can keep up with the editing.



Then Fall and Winter comes, and I pick up my camera about once a week. It is during this time, I go back into my computer files and pull out the forgotten photos.



It is fun to rediscover the joys of time spent together, even when one of us wasn't feeling well.



While our love is able to pull the smiles out of the bleakest times.



Seeing the exuberance in exploring.



Smiling at the ever changing emotions.



The pouting lip I hope to never forget.



Reminders to stop and smell the flowers...



And clutching my bursting heart while gasping in awe of the beauty she beholds.

Excuse me, as I drift off to sleep......Remembering Summer!

When I think of FAMILY, I think of my parents, Sugar Bear's grandparents. They are VERY involved members of Sugar's life. She adores them, and everything that they bring to her life. she especially loves staying at their house, and enjoying all that their farm has to offer.

I love these photos of her helping them plant corn. To me.....it says, FAMILY!

Photostory Friday~ The Man on the Moon

For as long as I can remember, I have been smitten with the Moon. It's beauty soothes me. I am forever intrigued by it's phases. From the sliver or light, to the full glowing orb it's mystery draws me in.

I have tried for several years to get a satisfactory photo of the object of my affection with very little success. Either my camera, my lens, impossible schedules, or weather patterns have made my quest impossible to attain. I have suffered many a horrendous shot of my moon. They have been blurry, or to bright. The moon was FAR FAR FAR away, or hardly noticeable at all. Every attempt left me frustrated and disappointed.

Last summer I got a few shots that were passable, and I shared them here. They were by far the best I had ever managed to pull off.....until now.



Sigh.....This shot was taken a few nights ago. I could stare at it all day. I am thrilled with the detail I was able to capture. I almost feel like I can see the Man on the moon. YEAH!

Flash: Flash did not fire

Tripod was used with my remote shutter.
