My 100th post (Revisited)
***This is a repost of my 100th post. Originally posed in September of 2007. I now have over 1010 posts. You think I should make a list of 1000 things to know about Corey? ummmmm yeah....I'm not sure I'm that complex. :) For those of you who weren't here back in the day...this there might be things listed here you didn't know. For those of you who were here....you might have forgotten most of these because you are old, and forgetful like me. :) ENJOY!***
I am thrilled to announce my 100th post. Honestly, I am a little surprised to have reached this milestone in a reasonable amount of time. I usually either drag my feet at things....or get so obsessed that I do nothing else. I think that 5 months is a perfect amount of time to have made these posts.
I want to thank everyone that has supported me in this venture. It has been wonderful. I have made new friends. I have made better friends out of old friends I already had, and I have made some friends worry more than a little bit about my mental health. Heck...I say you haven't done a good job unless someone thinks you are crazy, right?
Life is good!
So, in the tradition of many bloggers ahead of me, I will proceed to bore the heck out of delight you, and list 100 facts about me.
1. I am a talker.
2. In first grade they threatened to make me sit out during folk dancing class if I didn’t be quiet.
3. To this day, I still can’t dance.
4. When that didn’t work, they sat me by the deaf child named David.
5. I love sign language.
6. My college roommate freshman year was hearing impaired.
7. I loved college.
8. I love learning new things.
9. I actually enjoy taking classes.
10. I don’t really like tests so much, but if I had to choose, I’d pick a multiple choice test. I am good at recognizing the right answer. Not so good at remembering the right answer in my head.
11. Since having my daughter, I have a horrible memory.
12. I often call home and leave myself a message to remind myself to do something that evening.
13. I am always surprised to have a message when I get home, and feel like a dork when I hear my own voice.
14. However, I don’t feel like a dork for long, because I often preface my message with, “Hey Corey! You sexy mama you!”
15. I take my compliments where I can get them.
16. I am extremely proud of my daughter Sugar Bear.
17. Because of Number 1, I often bore people with my stories of her.
18. I think she is the most perfect person on this planet. How did I ever get so blessed?
19. I am a positive person. I like to make lemonade out of the lemons that roll my way.
20. I only drink water and skim milk.
21. Occasionally, I drink lemonade or another juice.
22. I had surgery for Acid Reflux.
23. They took my gall bladder out at the same time.
24. I offered to let them take the appendix too while they were in there, but they opted out.
25. I have been in the hospital 3 times in my life.
26. The first time was when I was born.
27. The other time was my natural childbirth with my daughter.
28. I think the least painful of all three was when I was born……yes…that is correct.
29. I am not fond of pain.
30. I have no tattoos, nor a desire to get one.
31. I only have my ears pierced with one hole in each ear.
32. I have lots of lovely jewelry from my darling husband, but I tend to put on a necklace and earrings and wear them for a month, then change.

37. My alarm goes off at 7am, and we are out of the house by 7:30.
38. I think it is evil that I have to wake a sleeping child every morning to go to daycare.
39. I feel it is just as evil that said child then wakes up early on the weekends, so I can’t sleep.
40. I used to be a sleeper. 10 hours sleep was a must.
41. I am lucky to get 7-8 these days.
42. I used to take naps whenever I felt like it.
43. Now I blog when my daughter is napping.
44. I used to have so many TV shows I just HAD to see, but these days it is down to a few.
45. I used to lay in bed and read books all day. This was before Sugar Bear. I don’t really miss those days, but I think my reading skills have suffered.
46. My handwriting has never been pretty, but these days it is a down right embarrassment.
47. I am trying to write my cousin who just started college a handwritten letter at least 2 times a week.
48. I have been horribly busy lately and haven’t succeeded in that effort. I need to write her a letter tonight.
49. I love my job. It is a VERY family friendly environment.
50. I was blessed with being able to bring my daughter to work with me for her first year.
51. I am not certain I got a lot of work done.
52. This is the longest I have ever had a job, by FAR!
53. This is my 10th year in this job.
54. I do feel quite a bit of burnout at times, but I have a mission this year, to find the joy in it again.
55. Holidays bring me joy.
56. Christmas is my favorite holiday.
57. I love giving presents.
58. I am thrifty shopper, so I already have many Christmas gifts purchased.
59. I am not really loving having my daughter’s birthday the same time of year as Christmas. I think it is better to have the fun spread out around the year more.
60. I think when she gets older, I MAY start really celebrating on her Half birthday.
61. This year, we are going with the Less is More attitude. She has too much stuff as it is.
62. I fight clutter in all areas of my life. It is definitely an area I need improvement.
63. I also don’t really like to cook that much, so we are often eating the same things over and over again.
64. However, I have over 30 cookbooks.
65. I like to look at food.
66. I like to eat food.
67. My husband is a good cook.
68. He isn’t a “lite” cook, however. The more fat the better.

76. Are you looking at me funny?
77. I love to make people laugh.
78. I love to laugh.
79. I love my daughter’s laugh.
80. I love to photograph her laughing, and she has the best smile EVER!
81. I just love to photograph in general, and have learned so much in the last 3 years about photography.

91. I will be 33 this month.
92. Sometimes I am in denial that I am already in my thirties. I just don’t feel like I could be that old.
93. Sometimes I worry that life is just going by too quickly.
94. I try to cherish each and everyday, and concentrate on just how very blessed I am.
95. I believe that life is what you make it.

Been Busy.....
-Monday, I spent a good portion of the day walking around with horse POOP on my bum at work. Yeah....obviously only ONE of my friends read my most recent "25 random things....." post, or else they would have TOLD me that I had poop on my butt. Right? (Number 14 says it all!) I mean seriously, people! Don't you think I would want to know? However, most of them stated that they just hadn't noticed.....which made us all wonder why "H", who was the one to tell me about the poopy tush, was looking at my hiney in the first place. Hmmmmm.......
-Last night, I placed a call to someone I don't know very well so that I could RSVP for Sugar Bear and I to attend her daughter's birthday party this weekend, cause I am totally awesome like that. I actually RSVP, people! Oh yes....I do! No one answered the phone, so it went to voice mail. I proceeded to say about 6 words before I choked on my own spit, and spent about a minute coughing and sputtering on my message. Yeah! I'm sexy like that.
-THEN....this morning, I'm nearly half way to Sugar's school when she says, "Hey mom! Where's the other half of my bagel?" I quickly look at the console where it used to be....then look down at the front of my shirt where it is nicely stuck using Sunbutter, and Nutella as glue! AWESOME!
I don't think anyone could be cooler than me this week, but if you have a fun tidbit to share, please do so in the comments. I'd love to know that I'm not the only one who just can't be any more FABULOUS, if I tried! :)

25 random things you might wonder why you wanted to know!
1. I just got a paper cut, and you'd think my entire finger got lopped off in a wild and crazy argument with a lawnmower.
2. I think I need a 12 step program for my Library addiction.
3. When Sugar Bear was 3 months old, while we were laying in my bed nursing in the middle of the night, I passed gas extremely loud. My girl unlatched, looked up at me and ripped an awesome toot of her very own, then went right on nursing. I took it as a sign that she is brilliant, and destined for good things.
4. I watched "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives", the other night on The Food Network HD, and only tried to lick the TV twice.
5. I make inappropriate jokes when I'm stressed, scared, nervous, anxious, or otherwise emotional. Yup...I'm the idiot cracking the jokes at a funeral. I have no control over it.
6. Most of my underwear are are at least 12 years old...AND I still wear my maternity panties sometimes. They are sooooo comfy! (don't look at me like that!)
7. I may or may not have eaten an ENTIRE tin of Danish Butter Cookies all by myself in the last week. Jeg elsker Cookies! Cookies er djævelen!!!
8. I've gained 10 lbs in the past year, and I don't know why. (tee hee)
9. I might have permanent tennis elbow and wrist injury due to four evenings, in a row, of playing "Just Dance 2" on our new wii system.
10. I shave my legs about once a month. Smooth skin is totally overrated, and I think braided leg hair is super sexy.
11. I snort when I laugh. I snort when I take photos of children. I squeal when I'm excited, I squeal when I'm frightened. and I oink when I eat. hmmmm......can someone come over and check to see if I have a curly tail?
12. I think the Dirty Dish Fairy is a bastard for never coming to my house. (Sorry for that naughty word.....I don't know what came over me! Oh yeah, I know....I have a sink full of dirty dishes, and I'm pretty darn grouchy about it!)
13. My husband says I have too much stuff. I absolutely do NOT agree, so I just stomp my way through that little narrow path that leads from my computer to my bed, and pout.
14. You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose, BUT you sure as heck should tell them if they have a bat in the cave. Come on.....don't just leave it hanging.
15. This one time.....I pooped on the floor, and this really nice lady tried to tell me that it was just "a little amniotic fluid", but I knew she was just full of crap. (bad word again.....sorry.) She was sweet and all, but you can't kid a kidder, or a woman who is experiencing intense labor pains, and feels like a hippopotamus in a bedsheet.
16. This other time when I was wearing light tan slacks, I sat in some yucky brown liquid, then had to go have dinner with 4 wonderful women I had never laid eyes on in person before. Good thing the restaurant was super dark. I could at least pretend that they all didn't think I just pooped my pants. AWESOME! Talk about a super cool first impression.
17. I laugh like a crazed lunatic when someone falls down. (even Sugar Bear, but I try to hide it.) I know....I know...I'm evil, but I can't help it. It looks so funny!
18. If you stare into your refrigerator long enough.....hard enough......it still won't make dinner for you. I've tried it......MANY times.
19. shhhhhh....don't tell anyone, but I think the candy bowl at work knows how much I weigh. It keeps laughing at me every time I walk by.
20. I say "DUDE!" and "Groovy!" wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much, and "Kerfuffle" and "Gargalesis" and "Subintelligitur" not nearly enough.
21. It is subintelligitur that I do not like gargalesis, and if you try it....you better be ready for an extreme kerfuffle.
22. Being that I breast fed Sugar Bear for 1,642 and a half days, I shouldn't be surprised that she sometimes still likes to "cop a feel", but seriously.......does everyone in our house think my boobs are fair game? Even the cat likes to knead them once in awhile. sigh......
23. and I only like it about HALF the time.
24. If you pass gas in a forest, a squirrel dies. Now don't you feel guilty?
25. I sometimes embellish when I tell stories to make them more interesting. Only sometimes.
oh and if you liked this post....you might REALLY, REALLY like THIS ONE I did a few years ago. I think I used up all my good ones that time. darn it!

OOPS!....Did I do that?
Hey there Internet.....I'm sooooooo sorry for violating your strict policy regarding downloads. I didn't mean too....honestly....do I look like the kind of girl who would purposely violate you? I THINK NOT! It has to be some sort of mistake.....or something like that, right? It wasn't me.......it wasn't me.
Okay...so maybe it was ME, but it wasn't on PURPOSE. I didn't even know there was such a policy. Yeah......I know...I really should read the fine print more often, but usually those things just don't apply to ME....right? right?
Okay....so maybe those things do apply to ME, but they shouldn't.....I'm a sweet little blogger mommy. Nothing to worry about here. I just wanted to download some wedding photography tutorials...nothing BAD....or anything....just photography stuff. I didn't KNOW that downloading over 35 hours of video in one week was NOT OKAY. sheesh.....who knows that stuff? sigh....
So, Internet, can't we just forgive and forget? Can't we just say, "OOPS!" and move on?
No? No, we can't?
Seriously? I'm kicked off the Internet for 2 weeks, and possibly longer?
REALLY?
REALLY?
No "take backsies?"
:(
Okay...fine.......be that way, but I'm not the only one who will suffer from this atrocity. You are depriving MILLIONS (okay maybe 13 or so) of my devoted blogging fans the opportunity to experience Sugar Bear's first day of Kindergarten today.......and the first day of Ballet Class...also today......and to see some pics of our super exciting bay crabbing trip this past weekend.....and our teeny tiny baby bunnies that were just born. Oooooo....and they are sooooooooo cute, too.
Seriously, Internet....you are so selfish. How will everyone survive? Don't blame me if there is a revolt......YOU are the one being all "Policy this....policy THAT?" whatever......
I was already tired.....and now I'll have to come to work early...and stay late to make up for some valuable time spent writing this darn letter. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to forgive you. Let's just say........YOU ARE ON MY LIST. You hear me?
I tried to spit in your eye, and only succeeded in disgustifying my monitor. I tried to kick you in the shins....and only ended up with a stubbed toe and a dented tower. I know violence isn't the answer, but I'm cranky.
Hope you are satisfied, Internet. You are sooooooooooooooooo not invited to my birthday party, Which happens to be tomorrow! No cupcakes for you!
Not your friend,
Corey
