Photo Hunters~ Metal

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

METAL is such a great theme. I am excited to see all the different varieties that bloggers choose to share this week.

I was eager to snap a few pics tonight of some rusted metal. From a distance it sure can be a sight for sore eyes, but up close, I think it is beautiful. I love the texture and color of it. It was a joy playing with my macro lens, and this fabulously oxidizing metal. Rust is a red or brown oxide coating on iron or steel caused by the action of oxygen and moisture.

Thanks for stopping by my blog this week. :) I hope you enjoyed my take on METAL.
Have a great weekend, and a fabulous Easter.

Leave it to you, Corey. Rust IS pretty. Who'da thunk it? As always, I'm amazed and a little tiny bit jealous! ;)

Corey, nice macro shots of the rust.

I'm living pretty near to the beach, and most of my metal furnitures turn rusty after a while. It's a real pain to scrap and re polish them!! *pulls.hair.out*

Happy Easter Corey :)

Beautiful. I'm thinking I could probably find something rusty to take a picture of here in rainy Vancouver. Actually, I guess the trick would be for me to find something made of metal that WASN'T rusty! LOL

They're beautiful because they were taken perfectly.

Your shots on the rusty metal are beautiful Corey. Just make sure that you do not get scratched by the rustiness. It's poisonous :)

I love those shots and agree about how beautiful metal is when it's rusted, particularly with the macro shots.

Wow - generally rusty things do not look good but your closeup photos do indeed made them look very artistic! Great shots!

Happy Weekend.

Yes, it is all in the perception, isn't it? I just saw an old rusty anchor that was equally lovely. Excellent take this week!

Okay, I am not a big fan of rust. Living in Hawaii things rust in 48 hours if left out. But I have to say, these pictures are great!! You did a fantastic job taking them. Mine's up, but not near as clever, over at Flo's Place

I am a fan of rust. I love the colors and textures and the way that you can play with the lenses to change the effects. Beautiful. #2 was my favorite. Looked like someone's eyelash was winking at me! lol
