Feeling Random

Donetta tagged me with the "7 random things about me" meme. I have done this one.....quite awhile back, but I am in the mood....so here we go. However, I am choosing to do Seven Random Things about Sugar Bear.

Once you are tagged, link back to the person who tagged you.
Post “The Rules” on your blog.
Post seven weird or random facts about yourself on your blog.
Tag seven people and link to them.Comment on their blogs to let them know they’ve been tagged.

1. Sugar Bear was born with unusually large big toes. From that first day, I called them her "monkey toes." As she has aged, they have become more in proportion to the rest of her toes, though. I think that is a good thing.

2. Sugar Bear is an extended nurser. We are on our 38th month of Breast Feeding. WOW! I am trying to let her self ween.....it has been discussed by family that she will be nursing at the Senior PROM! Yes, I do get a lot of flack for this...but I'm okay with it. You Can Call Me A Freak If You Want To.

3. Sugar Bear has nearly 0% interest in Potty Training. ZERO! I always say she is too busy being brilliant to worry about silly things like Potty Training. tee hee....It is odd to me though, as she just over three. That is a bit old for a girl to not be Potty Trained. Oh well.......surely by her Senior PROM she'll be Potty Trained! wink...wink...

4. Sugar Bear isn't all that interested in what clothing she wears. She simply lets me choose for her, and rarely if ever has an opinion on certain items. If anything....she might request certain shoes. I'm enjoying this while it lasts.

5. There is not one single food that Sugar will eat 100% of the time. All though she eats a wide variety of foods in general, she will not always eat food I know she likes....not even ice cream or a cookie. She tends to only eat the food she is interested in that day. Often she only eats meat twice a week, but on those days....she'll eat a ton of it.

6. Sugar Bear LOVES to sing. She always has. She started actually singing "row row row your boat" when she was alittle over one year old. She has a good sense of rhythm, and can carry a tune. Recently, her capacity for learning a new song has increase dramatically. She will request to hear a certain song like 5 times in a row, and then she will have it down.

7. Sugar Bear is one of those children that wakes up in a great mood. Every morning, her eyes just blink open, and a smile is on her face. Even if I have to wake her, she just sits up and starts yacking about the day ahead. This morning, I heard through the baby monitor a little voice singing a song. She just made it up as she went...."its a beautiful day....it is a good day....what a nice day...."

GOSH....I LOVE THIS KID! Life is good!

Now....if you are reading this....and want to play along...go right ahead.

I used potty training rewards. The audio and chocolate treats were powerful incentives to fully potty train our son. He loved pushing the button hearing he is a Big Boy. He was peeing and pooping in his potty within a week. Have a look and see if this would work for you. www.pottytainingrewards.com

I love this meme because you really get to learn a little more about your blogger buddies. Photos say a lot but this says so much more.
You are a good mommy and I can see that. The love and devotion you give to her is outstanding and you really do not have to change anything right now. Time will jump in and do the rest. She seems so bright! Great post and thanks for sharing!!

Oh I love learning more about Ms Sugar. I'm sure she will be weened and potty trained by prom. LOL So sweet that she wakes up so happy in the morning, boy I wish I was like that!

Don't worry about the potty training. If she's still nursing at her senior prom then you'll be there to change her diaper, right? ;) It's your family. Do what works for you and don't worry what others say or think about it. She sounds like an awesome little girl, and you are an awesome mom!

well, you average me and both my kids out on the feeding. i only made it a few weeks with either of them. one was too small, and i had to express, the other was too bitey.

and qoh didn't potty train finally until she was four. i have a feeling the thrower will be similar. sigh. why can't my children want to do things?!

Dove woke up that way as did Dash and as does Willy the dog. I do when I get good rest too. The stress that came into our live during some very difficult times spoiled it for a season but it is retuning presently.
I really love the mornings when I am rested and I don't get stressed out over things.

All the stuff will come in the end. The main thing is you are giving Sugar fantastic memories. And I'm sure her monkey toes are gorgeous.
I have a little award for you over at mine sweetie. x

Wow, I learned so much about Sugar Bear and about you too. :)

Abby had zero interest in potty training until right before her 3rd birthday, but once she started, she potty trained quickly and easily. I hope it's that way for you once Sugar Bear decides it's time!

Your Sugar Bear and my CJ sound a lot alike. He's a little older (almost 44 months as of today) but other than that I could have written most of that list about him.

I tell myself that he will potty train eventually... everyone else does, right?

What a sweet post! I enjoyed reading all about your amazing little girl!

My eldest turned 3 last August , and had no interest in the potty. I just decided one day to offer her a diaper or underwear, and took her potty everywhere with us-to every room, outside, etc. (I realize this was much easier in the summer). I expected a ton of accidents, but she never had one! I always told her to listen to her body, and that this was something that only she could do...if she chose a diaper one day, that was fine. I just kind of went with the flow with it, and still cannot believe how easy it was :)
That is so awesome on the extended nursing! You should feel very proud. I am all for child-led weaning, which unfortunately has come too soon for me, but I'll be posting more about that this week!

Sugar Bear Rules! What a cutie. Kids are great because they are so individualistic without even trying to be. I love that. Wakes up in a good mood is big. Very big. Good stuff Corey!

The fact that you aren't stressing over potty training REALLY calms me down. I feel a push from society to train mine (age 2), however, they have no interest at all. Thanks!!

I think we're raising the same kid! (Except for the monkey toes.) Csilla and I are still nursing (she just turned 3), she's indifferent/resistant to potty training, she's indifferent about her clothes, she's totally unpredictable with her food, she loves to sing and she wakes up a happy chatterbox everyday. Adorable!
