A squirting good time

Yes, I do realize that I have NOT posed about our Disneyland trip, and it has been a MONTH....oh my gosh....A MONTH since we have been there. My how time flies. I promise I'll be getting to it eventually. We just had such a wonderful time, and Disney, to be totally honest....wasn't the BEST of it. Today, I wanted to share some of the pictures I took on our last day in Orange County. Don't ask me where we are in these...as I don't know. I just know we stopped here to kill time before getting dropped off at the airport. It was PERFECT! Mar0511_0195ew WE don't have one of these fountain type play feature things in our town, so this was a new experience for Sugar Bear. It all started off with the two littles trying not to get wet, but we didn't really care if they did. It was hot, and I'm sure it was super refreshing.

There is just something about water that brings out the JOY in people. I honestly could have watched them play in this fountain all day.

Mar0511_0197ew

It took concentration to get the timing right, and not get squirted.

Mar0511_0194ew

But it was pretty fun when you got it wrong, and were surprised with a squirt. :)

Mar0511_0241ew

Danny was a good helper, he tried to help Sugar figure out when to go.

Mar0511_0191ew

He was definitely more daring at first.....

Mar0511_0192ew

But it didn't take long for Sugar Bear to get in on the action.

Mar0511_0199ew

I just love the sport of it all. Editing these pics made me smile all the more than actually being there. I enjoy seeing what I captured. Those moment in time.....the things I can't see unless stopped in the middle. I love her little legs and feet in this shot. She is losing the baby legs...and getting some athletic muscular legs.

Mar0511_0198ew

Another fun pastime as trying to step on the holes in the ground to keep the water from squirting up. This could be risky.

Mar0511_0249ew

The running.....the splashing.....the jumping, and squealing. Love it all.

Mar0511_0203ew Mar0511_0211ew

And again....these feet....and legs....how I love them so. I like that I can feel her joy...even though I can't see her face in these shots. So many things to see all at once. I'm grateful to have the photos so that I can study them and see all that was happening that day.

Mar0511_0235ew Mar0511_0243ew

You know what I didn't notice the entire time we were there? Only when I was editing the pictures did I see it! How could I have missed the fact that my girl had her sweet little fingers crossed as she ran through the fountain? Hoping and wishing to make it to the other side without getting squirted.

Mar0511_0208ew

Go on....go back and look. Her fingers are crossed in all of the ones where her hands are in view. I honestly had no idea, and I wonder if Carol noticed either.

Week 26

myweekdiptych27web

March 27th...it rained. Yes it did! Not surprising, as it has been raining for almost two months. I'm used to the rain, but I have to say that it has really, honestly started to affect the mood around here. We really need to see some sun.

March 28th it rained.....but sometimes it would stop....for a few minutes. Ivy and Sugar would run outside to try to get some exercise. I love watching these two. Ivy wants to do everything Sugar is doing. Here she is watching Sugar on the slide. I love this shot of little Ivy and Sugar Bear's boots.

March 29th was AWESOME! I had the opportunity to pop in and visit with a long time friend and his family. I've known J since second grade, and I really should make an effort to visit with him more often. He has a brand new baby at home...so I have a feeling I might be motivated to stop by, as I do love babies! ♥

March 30th Sugar Bear had her 6 month dental exam. She does so great at the dentist. This was her very first official cleaning with the "spinny tool". While she has been going to the dentist since she was 17 months, they have never done the prophy because her teeth had no staining or buildup. I requested a cleaning this time, so that she could get used to it.

March 31st marked the first time our Toby cat gave little Ivy a "what for!" Toby has been so tolerant of this little ball of fire, but he must have decided that Ivy is old enough now to take a quick swat. I was so surprised that I captured it. Don't worry, though, no animals were hurt in the making of this photograph.

April 1st I pinched a baby! (Just kidding....April fools!) I did stop back by my friend's house to grab a few more shots of the new baby, and so that Sugar Bear could see him. I love crying baby shots. I didn't take very many of Sugar Bear, but honestly....they do cry a lot..so it is fun to go back and remember what they looked like. ♥

April 2nd!!!! woo hoo....look what we have! tee hee...so excited. We have SEVEN baby bunnies! They are about 5 days old in this shot. We are thrilled, and can't wait for them to get a little bigger so we can play. ♥

Great week! So much going on.....but lots of LOVE, LAUGHS, AND LIVING. ♥

Something I love

Mikayla: my life in words

There is no denying it....I love babies. Everything about them.....sigh......they are just so wonderful. Perfect.....the chunky little cheeks.....pouty lips....button nose. Yes....I'm a sucker for a baby. ♥

52 Weeks of ME- Week Fourteen

Theme of the Week:

Under-Exposed

Okay...okay...okay...I know you might have been expecting something interesting...or creative this week from me. I mean following up from last week....I just had to do something unexpected, right? Ummmm....no. I as UNDER-WHELMED by this theme. I just wasn't feeling it this week. I couldn't come up with a single good idea. Well....that's not entirely true. I did briefly toy with the idea of a shot of my big ol' bum in some really nice white granny panies, but....sorry to report that I just couldn't find the time to execute it. :) I know....I know....you are sooooo disappointed, yes? Sorry!

I was so uninspired this week, that I literally snapped this shot a few hours ago. I just couldn't bother myself to give a ton of effort. So....here is a shot of me that is under-exposed....and under-whelming.

Apr0211_0050ew

BUT....it is a photograph of myself, and THAT is the ultimate goal in this project. To be more present in my photos. So while I might feel this week was an epic FAIL....it really isn't.

Be sure to head on over to visit Jessie and Cara to see all the fabulous ladies taking part in this cool project.
