Team-Up Thursday~ Negative Space

This week, I had BIG ideas, and chose the theme of "Negative Space." I was really excited to jump into this theme, and take tons of shots to choose from. INSTEAD, it rained...and rained....and rained...and I rarely even thought about the theme. If it weren't for my Kitty Project, I don't think I would have picked up my camera once this week. It was just that sort of week.

The other night, I began to panic. I ran outside, and found a dandelion. Our grass was soaking wet, so there was no lying down to get a fun angle. I simply had to shoot from the top down. (of course I could have picked it, but I wanted to true to it's environment. This shot isn't what I wanted for the theme, but I rather like the softness of it.

Berta's shot....well, it is amazing. That YELLOW! WOW! What is that? I am stumped, unless it happens to be some sort of funky algae. I have never in my life seen such a thing. I can't wait to go over to Berta's site and see what she has to say about it. You should too.

Now what has Berta photographed, I will be visiting her to find out.

Berta has suggested that Kerstin ( A German photographer in Munich ) and I should team up for this...so today we are going to chat about doing this project together.
I have a few questions about this...
1. Who choses the weekly theme's, is there a criteria you all follow
2. Do you have to join some where or can you just go ahead and do it..
3. How long does this last, is there a end....or is it your choice?

Okay, those are my questions...

I just love the softness of the dandelion next to that vibrant orange. Hmm...will have to go to Berta's b/c I have no idea what that is :) Great week!

Sometimes softness can really work in a photo. And I love that you kept the dandelion where it was. You nature girl you! ;)

(out of breath sounds) . . . shewwwah, I'm finally getting caught up and getting around to posting and commenting (out of breath sounds)!!!!!

Definitely a challenging week - I WILL do better this week. I think the photos look great together - nice contrasts in color and space! Thanks for my 'education' this week - you ARE my teacher!!! Although I choose this weeks theme - I'm thinking, 'Hummmm!' We'll see what happens.

Dandelions are the things to shoot this season and so great to use for negative space! Sorry it rained so much. It is so frustrating when you have big plans and mother nature gets in the way. I will be heading over to see what the yellow in Berta's shot is too. Very suspicious....Great job this week and a fun theme.

I want to participate : ) Do I have to find my own partner? Also, I don't know how to put two pictures together like that. I took a dandelion picture this week too. I love them!
