Photo Hunters~ Water

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Surprisingly, I didn't have to look far for a fun subject for this week's theme. On Father's Day, we took a little trip to a lovely garden to see the beautiful flowers.

Near the entrance we found this lovely fountain. I snapped one photo before I heard Sugar Bear say, "I have to go potty, Mama!" I had to laugh at the universal reaction to the sound of WATER splashing.

After a quick potty break, we made out way back to the fountain for more photos. Sugar spent most of her time trying to touch the water, while I split my time between composing some shots, and keeping Sugar from falling in.

My MOM duties kept me from getting a full fountain shot, as I refused to get that far from Sugar Bear, and she was pretty adamant about checking out the WATER.

Most of these photos have some technical difficulties, and I acknowledge them, but I am learning to accept such things when I am shooting at the same time a toddler is in my care. I simply cannot always take my time to re-adjust settings when the Sugar is running about. Safety FIRST!

It was a beautifully sunny day, and the garden was delightful. The sound of the fountain certainly completed the picture.

I do hope to make it back someday when I don't have a busy toddler and an impatient Hubby, so that I can do this fountain the justice it deserves.

In the mean time.....I'll just enjoy the memories of Sugar's delight!

Have a great weekend! I look forward to seeing all the WATER. I'll just be sure to take a potty break before I start looking. :)

*** oh and don't forget I'm on Top Momma! CLICK HERE!!!!! I know.....It's getting a bit old, but I am so thrilled to have lasted nearly 6 months on there. What a blessing. Thank you all who have clicked on the link and helped me achieve this accomplishment.***

Even though with Sugar eager to explore the water which you've gotta be real careful together with an impatient hubby. Those pictures are great :)

Have a good weekend Corey :)

I agree about not letting the guards down when toddlers are around bodies of water or water sources -artificial or not. Great shots despite the mmm distraction.

Those are just beautiful! Great composition. It's funny how kids are intrigued by water -- my middle one especially loved it wherever he could find it.

I love the droplets frozen in midair! Nice stop-action. I have come to the same conclusion about taking photos with the kiddo in tow - I just can't focus enough to really give it my best, and she has to come first! But still, these are great.

Your water photos are fabulous! Thanks for coming by mine - and in the recent readers over in your sidebar - I'm Pyewacket - well, my siamese is actually. :)

I love the fourth one. You always do a great job. It sounds like Sugar likes water as much as The Bean.

Gosh, if these shots have some problems, then who cares? They are stunning! I actually prefer the shots of the parts rather than the whole. Makes it more intriguing. Come on over to see my take on the theme this week - not nearly as good as yours, but still....you might enjoy it. :D Have a great weekend.

Oh wow! The second last one is amazing. And yes, chasing after a child and taking photos are not good mates :)
Are these taken with your new lens? I think I like your lens more than mine :)

I had an an oppotunity to take photos like this on Tuesday! But, I was by myself with Emma on a college campus and didn't bring the camera with us as we walked around. She's just too much to handle alone! I love them...especially the water droplets splashing in the fountains.
