Photo Story Friday~Back When I had Time To Be Creative...

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

Recently, I have been feeling like I have spread myself so thin that many things I love have been neglected. I have so many interests and responsibilities, that when I try to do them all, I am left feeling like nothing is getting done well. I only seem to dabble in this....then dabble in that. I leave things half undone, and many not even started. This frustrates me.

I have been looking at all the things that I am gracing with my time lately, and trying to find something to give up, so I may have time to do a better job at the others. It is hard to give up anything.....but something has to be done, because I do not feel like I am the person I want to be right now. So many of my past enjoyments are so very neglected. One of these things is sewing. I have not sewn in over 9 months, and I miss it. I crave it....but feel too overwhelmed to even start a project. I WANT and NEED this to change.

The photo I chose to share this week was taken two years ago on Father's Day. We were visiting Hubby's family, and I was so pleased to have Sugar dressed up in a "Corey Original". Hubby thought she looked like a clown, but I personally loved her pizazz.

I want to get back to sewing clothes for Sugar Bear. It blesses my heart when I finish an outfit, and she parades around in it so proudly. I love when people ask, "Where did you get that?" and I get to say, "Oh....I made it myself." sigh....good times.

So in honor of my desire to get back to it....I wanted to share this photo today. Wasn't she just delightful? Gosh I miss that chunky little honey sometimes.

Have a great weekend!

I love that outfit! Not clownish at all!

I love her outfit. I so wish I could sew, curtains and blankets are all I can manage right now.

I envy your talent of sewing! And I am totally with you on wanting to do so many things yet not having the time.

I am with you with being spread too thin. That outfit is precious.

You definitely must get back to sewing. That outfit is adorable!

That is a really good job on the outfit. And if it makes you both happy, you should definitely start up again.

What a sweet photo and I love the outfit. I hope you can get back into sewing especially since you love it so much and can create such gorgeous clothes. It's something I'd love to learn how to do - someday. If I can ever find the time. :)

I envy your talent for sewing. I completley suck at it. Sugar is so darn cute in that pic. Now I want to know what you are giving up to have the time to do it! ;)

How sweet is SHE! and I'm so jealous of your sewing talent!

Good for you for recognizing what makes you happy and striving towards it!

She is a doll! I'm not a seamstress, so good on you for making outfits! I have had a few quilts...

This is so sweet. And as usual, I could have written it myself. I miss my chunky little girl too. Sigh. I've spread myself thin with all my hobbies and resposibilities too. It's very frustrating. Blogging is losing out this week. Maybe next week it will be something different... Hang in there!

Those pants are RAD!!! She is adorable and you are super talented.

I'm glad you are getting back to the things you love to do. I have had similar feelings about myself and what I do with my time lately. I so know where you are coming from. Here's hoping we both figure things out fast.

FABULOUS PSF Corey! I'm so happy you play with us every week!!

You MUST sew Corey - seriously that outfit is PERFECT. I know what you mean about spreading too thin, I saw your message about deleting your buzz account and couldn't agree more, I gave up on that before I got started.
Sometimes less is so much more.

Anyway, I feel ya. Beautiful shot of the Sugar Bear (as always) and thanks again for playing.

Too cute! Both the baby and the outfit! I know exactly what you mean about being spread too thin. When I don't have time to create, I get crabby and mean ;D

Sewing clothes is HARD. Especially if it isn't supposed to look like a potato sack. Great job!!!! Love it! Not clownish at all!

i was looking at the thrower's old pics tonight too. good bob they weren't half cuddly were they?!? he was a little ball of cuddles. that was before the throwing.

and i made NONE of his clothes. it's better that way. . .

i don't think he'd look good in cross-stitch...

I know exactly what you mean about not enough time. Most days, I am lucky if I get to one thing on my long list of things I would like to do.

I love your Corey Originals! So cute! I truly have no talent when it comes to sewing, so I am so impressed by stuff like this.
I do understand your feelings of being too spread thin and missing your hobbies. I haven't scrapbooked since before N's birth! Good luck in finding the right balance.

She looks adorable!!! Of course, it IS Sugar Bear after all. You could put her in a potato sack and she would still look adorable!

She is a sweetie, and the outfit is dang cute. I hope you find time to get sewing again.

I think when I first came across your blog there were a lot of pics of Sugar Bear in these cool outfits that you had created- you have so many talents! It is hard to find the time to do everything. I am so behind on scrapbooking and feel like I will just never catch up! Looking forward to seeing some your new creations!
